The "2020 ride" is cancelled but other things are going on to raise funds, watch our blog.

Here are some of the basics about the ride that was to happen in 2020 if COVID didn't hit:

Who can do this:

We have had 17 – 67 year old riders

Many have been riding less than 2 years…. You do not need to be a racer!

Ride Costs and Commitment:

Rider Registration:   Fee is $258 and donation requirement is $2500

Other Details:

Entry fees pay all costs of running this event.  No costs come out of the donations you raise.

In 2019, ride costs were $268 / rider vs our fee of $258 / rider.  We make up the difference thru volunteering the R2S team for things like the RSVP ride and Vancouver Marathon where the club earns some fees that cover our shortfall in rider fees.  By doing this we continue to ensure every penny your donors donate goes to cancer research funding and not to our ride expenses or any other admin expenses.

Ride is fully supported with food, water, mechanical, gear, police escort, BC Ambulance

Rider, bike and gear transport is included.

Ride operates in a single peloton with pilot cars, BC Ambulance and Police escort.

There are approximately 5 stops

Longest section about 1 hour and 45 minutes

Stops are estimated to be 15-20 minutes.
